R.F. Wood Door Company has been a family owned and operated business since 1955.
Robert Wood, learning his trade while working at Stanley Works, soon started his own company in his basement with a warehouse on Meriden Avenue in Southington. Partnering with Lawrence Woods, they became Wood & Woods, Inc.
We now have come full circle, returning to the origianl name of R.F Wood Door Co. and taking pride in continuing a well known reputation for taking care of our customers needs.
We provide sales, service and installation of residential doors and openers, as well as free in-home estimates for new garage doors and openers. With over 65 years in business, we have the experience to repair the problem before jumping to replace. If we believe it is not worth repairing, there is no charge for the visit and we provide a written proposal to replace the opener or garage door.
